Today feels like April: gentle air, steady patter of rain on the pavement outside, quiet possibility, a change of pace. Although I can never quite tell for certain until I start writing, my sense is that today will be slower, more languid, and a little more introspective. I like to get into my rhythm by knitting and watching stupid right-wing drama, then I'll move into the work in the early afternoon. I'll start with my non-OPWC posts today to ensure that I get a few off my back burners, especially that GPT dialogue. I also want to play with different styles of writing.

On today's agenda, I've added timestamps marking when each item will be posted. These are to help ME stay accountable and keep my days somewhat structured. Structure is the MO, I've found, in grief zones: writing as structure, books as anchors and companions. I know that I should get out of the condo more and switch up my writing/reading locations, but as of today I'm still in hibernation. I'm turning my office into a witchy treehouse with a tapestry and some Christmas lights.

  • A Note on Process (more introspective reflection on blogging and my "method"/rules for posting, especially around editing): ~ 1:00 pm

  • GPT Gaslighting: Reconstructed Dialogue, with Annotations (this will be my first priority today because it's FUN and therefore, NECESSARY): ~ 4:00 pm

  • Kanthaka OPWC Ch. 12 (We meet the Buddha's famous horse!): ~7:00 pm

  • Beginning Spiritual Practice, OPWC Ch. 13 (Sounds relevant... obviously): ~10:00 pm

More coming soon.

I've been catching up on the news over the last few days and WOW-- I'm absolutely fucking terrified. I can't wait to bring back some Buddhism to mitigate all the sociopathy, greed, and bloodlust filli
