Beginning in his early 20s, Drew taught himself how to play classical guitar using fingerpicking, which he then theorized as a reproducible method aimed at making guitar-playing more accessible, especially for adult learners. He wrote an e-book, available HERE, documenting and teaching this method. 

 

He also created a website to teach his guitar method, which contains more writings, both short and long-form, that illuminate not only a brilliant way to learn guitar but his philosophy and approach toward all things in his life: rigor, patience, discipline, steadiness, and passion. Reading this website and following the method will teach you about so much more than just guitar.

Drew also created a YouTube channel in the last six months of his life, which includes a series of short clips of him playing classical guitar in the fingerpicking style taught in his book and on his website. It's another wonderful way to encounter Drew: through his chosen instrument.
